Ruonglevaisuo in Hmar Hills

Ruonglevaisuo (also known to some people as Tipaimukh) is of great cultural importance to the Hmar tribe of North East India. Many of the Chin-Kuki-Mizo group of tribes trace their origin from Ruonglevaisuo. The Hmars believe that this estuary – Ruonglevaisuo – was ‘Pielral Kawtsuo’ where the dead departs from earth to begin another journey.
