Ruonglevaisuo in Hmar Hills

Ruonglevaisuo estuary (also known as Tipaimukh) is of great cultural importance to the Hmar tribe of North East India. Chin-Kuki-Mizo group of tribes trace their origin from Ruonglevaisuo. The Hmars believe that this estuary was 'Pielral Kawtsuo' where the dead departs from earth to begin another journey.
